MSP vs. Evo 8

The front end of the EVO is toooooo busy. Like I said; It looks like a Pontiac in the front. Also; The quality of Mitsu.....? Questionable.

either

I'd take the STI or the EVO......I'm kinda partial to the EVO though just cuz of all the cool tricks Jackie Chan did in "Who Am I" and "Supercop" :)

No one says it sucks, they just like the STi more.

AGR#7, right there with you, the 350Z track is wild. It is a much better buy then either the STi or the EVO8 in that price range.

Look at the profile of the car. With the extra wing installed, it looks very silly from the side. The wing is way too large for the car.

I would just like to add that in that article from Road and Track....what other car is that list of the best handling cars

eh?

I've give ya a hint, it's blue! :)

And which one tied the 911 Turbo in the slalom...

M P 3 :)

Yup, slow as s***, but I am still amazed when I read that article. I bought that magazine, and I'm never throwing it out.

I just wanted to point that out :)

j/k

When I saw the wing in person I was suprised at how snazzy it looked actually. I opened the trunk in the dealership and the wing must weight like nothing because the trunk was lightest I've ever lifted (with or without a wing).

It's similar to the wing on Kaminari's Project WRX and I think that the carbon fiber accents the little touches of black (grill, etc) that the car has.

Your right too newf. All these reviewers really love Proteges. Even though the 6 is ranked top ten with Car and Driver, the MSP is among the Editors Most Wanted list at Edmunds.

Yay Mazda!(rofl) (2thumbs)

It's really about the GRIN factor, and what's affordable. Am I right?

I LOVE MY MAZDASPEED - HELL!!!!!! I LOVE EVERYONE"S MAZDASPEED!!!!!!

My vote is for the STi .. In my opinion it looks sooooo much better than the Evo.. and yes I have seen the Evo in person.. some lawyer in town has a black one... its nice, but Im partial to Subaru's.. Ive loved the WRX ever since it was FINALLY introduced over here. However.. I LOVE the Recaros in the Evo.. so nice!! But they are both really nice cars.

Don't you just love after all of that the Evo comes out undamaged even after its been on its side. I mean come on theres gotta be a little bit of paint missing or maybe even the entire side mirror. hmmm maybe those cars are more durable than I thought.

$35,000 laying around?...........350Z Track Edition

It's a better quailty car then either the Subaru or the Mitsubishi, in my opinion.

I wouldn't trust a Mitsubishi. They have a bad quality record. And; I'm not that thrilled about Subaru's.

I would still go for the STI. And why do you ask!!!!!------
Well because it fits my style! the 350Z is more a car my husband would get and drive. I am not saying that it is not an awesome car, but I need a car that is an extension of me......and STI fits!!!

funny thing happened tonite, i was on my way home with my sister and she wanted to stop by SAV-ON to pick up some girly stuff. i was kinda pissed off at her and almost didn't go but went anyway; it's a SAV-ON right down the street from my house. as i was pulling in the parking lot i was still pissed off UNTIL i saw a beautiful black EVO 8. my anger just lifted away. i went inside SAV-ON and saw no guys in the store so i figured it was one of the pharmacists working in the back. so i just walk towards the back and went to the counter and asked if anyone one of them drove a black mistubishi. at first they were confused then someone from the way back came out and was like, "a mitsubishi?". i said, "yeh, a black lancer?". she panicked and was like, "why?! what happened to my car?". she thought i hit it or something. i told her that i was parked right next to her car and just wanted to meet whoever owned it. i wasn't expecting a female. it was the first time i have ever seen the evo 8 and i didn't have a digital camera on me but i can go back down later on to take pics alongside my car. i just thought it was pretty cool.

oh, and as i left the parking lot i felt pissed at my sister again. that's about it...

id opt for the STI also, i had a 97 Eclipse GSX and when it got ripped off at my local shop it was in there for its 7th tranny:) i will never buy another mitsubishi even if it does have the 4g63 that motor is awesome:p

How the hell can anyone in their right mind even compare these 2 cars.....It's stupid!

$20,500.00 Versus $35,000.00 ------ apples and bullfrogs

The fact that you can compare them says how damn good the MSP is for 20 grand. Put 15 grand into your MSP engine and see how good it is. Now if we could just get an MSP5 I'd trade mine in in a second.:p

My buddies is nice... although he says it is a bear on the highways.... the car tracks so quickly he says that you have to keep both hands on the wheel ( this is an autox'er whom has driven M3's and Porches). For the "bang" for the buck, I love our cars (and btw, that's not me in the background, I was taking the pic! :D

man on man, the front license plate is sooooooo out of place on the evo. LOL

and again to the person who said the person in the evo wasn't driving b/c it has awesome suspension or whatever, i'm just confirming what was said of the msp's handling.. it's not EQUAL to the 911 turbo, i'm quite certain that it said it was BETTER than it. (correct me if i'm wrong of course)

I really don't like the look of the Evo. I saw one at the track last night and I didn't like it. it looked like fast and furious without the graphics. I do give props to mitsu for having the balls to bring it stateside. and it is a beast of a car. lots of power, yehaaw!
now if Nissan will give us a turbo I would be happy.

my friend (the one in the yellow in the background) says that it is by far the best handling car he's ever driven
