msp vs a gsr...

Indecisive ;) And well, it sort of depends on whether or not and how much you want to mod the car. The MSP is 170 stock, but most of them don't stay stock for long. Weak internals usually lead to a forged engine which then leads to a nice list of mods and twice as much boost.

Honda/Acura=FAIL Everyone has one..... I get tired of seeing them. MAZDASPEED ALL THE WAY!

If ur looking for reliablilty. Get the gsr. Turbo cars are more risky. But they have potential.

I'd say stock cars GS-R over the MSP.

That was on my list of cars while deciding on the MSP but it needed to be a 4dr gs-r

That's a fun question......

I personally wanted to buy a GS-R but then wanted a Type R...and then...turbo...

Vtec is one of those unique sounds that makes my mouth water, very simliar to the VR6 engine.

BUT.....Honda's are notorious for theft, especially in Canada, Type R's ARE the perfect scape car.

I would actually consider a Type R over my MSP ONLY because it would've had the JDM conversion headlights and the handling would be a little bit nimbler than our MSP's.

but i lOooooooooooooooove boooost!!!!(butthump)

stock to stock...no, MSP would be slower. Not horribly slower, but it would be very close through autocross i'd say - depends on tires too ;)

Once you build up the MSP - it'll kick tha ish outta the Type R after 3rd gear pull(nuts)

"Faster" is a questionable term. I had a 94 integra LS with a 16b head and I would give up my MSP to have the LS back.. I would turbo it or put it on the bottle. I will say that I beat the SH*T of the LS and it never had problems, it also handled just as well as my MSP.

I happen to own both. Stock vs stock the GSR has more legs to continue to rev with lower ratios and better acceleration, however the MSP has gobs more tq over the GSR. You learn to drive both cars differently. Daily driver the MSP is perhaps more fun cause you don't have to flog it as much, but in WOT mode in a straight line or cornering the GSR wins.

Oh and honda reliability is WAY better than the MSP.

this is the most true sentence in this thread....

I my mind the MSP will be a lot "quicker" car, street driven... just because boost comes on at 3500 and will pull you wherever you wanna go to, but the GSR is VTEC limited... kinda like an RX-8... to make it move, you've gotta be that asshole who windes it out to redline...

like i said before, i rather have a car no one else around me has..... Be different then all the people that already has a GSR.... way to many of them i see everyday no matter where I am. I hardly see any MSP, let alone mazdaspeeds on the road. And from the people I know that autox, they say the MSP would win in a drivers race on the autox.

the gs-r is great car but you better have a garage or something cause if you dont it's gonna get jacked sooner or later

Depends what you are looking for. GS-R would be more reliable. MSP is fun to drive, but you would have to throw some money at it to make it run like it should.
