A moment of silence please.....

Thanks.

Got T-Boned by some chick that ran a red light. Insurance is totaling the car. Major front end damage. We can keep the car for $1600. Should we?

Maybe part it out? Ebay? Rebuild it?

Opinions please.

sorry for your loss. i lost a p5 at the end of april this year and it was a really hard experience on me. so, i feel your pain.

part-outs do really well on this forum, even with stock parts. i am sure that you could make more than $2000 on a part out. also, you would be doing a service to the community by providing those hard-to-find parts for everyone.

if you decide to part-out, i call dibs on your cup-holders and maybe your springs (depending on what kind of shape they are in.

yeah part-out is worth it depending on the condition of parts and so on... how many miles on the car? what color?

sorry to hear that...silencing for the car

but if you do part out, can i call dibs on the oil/coolant lines for the turbo

49k on the car. Black 2003 MSP.

It's my brother's car.

I have a 2003 P5 auto. Thinking about converting my P5 to an MSP P5. Maybe rebuild the engine with stronger pistons etc and putting it in my car. A lot of work, but what a sleeper that would be!

See, already people are jumping for parts -- including myself! I want that radio surround if you do decide to part out!

I'm really sorry about the wreck, though. I hate stupid people. I hope karma is a b**** to that girl.

Anyhoo, you'll definitely do well here if you choose to part out. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. :)

WoW Rush thats kinda harsh maybe she just didnt see the redlight but yeah im looking for some parts my self too.

You're right...maybe she didn't see the light...'cuz she was sending a text message.

To the OP, a part-out for an MSP is probably even more lucrative than a regular Protege...esp.
if the turbo system is intact (and that includes the ECU).

Hopefully your brother is ok?

I'd be interested in the seats (front and back) if you arent going to transfer them over to your P5.

the 3rd taillight delete panel if it's available. also your trunk carpet and floormats if they're stock msp pieces.

You should totally buy a later 3rd gen protege and swap the drivetrain and stereo in, you'd have a serious sleeper on your hands.

if it wasnt broken i would like the driver side pillar trim thats inside the cabin and some other little things

Keep it, how bad is it? I'd get a regular es and swap the set up and go.

I will take the sparco pedals and shift knob, trunk mat, drivers side a pillar radio surround, the screws for upper grill, door sills if they say mazdaspeed, cup holder if in great condition no scratches, headlights, tail lights, steering wheel suround, glove compartment.

i want the driver side pillar trim piece and the covers that hide the top bolt to the driver and pass seat belt (its where it adjust) pm me with price

Need the MSP instrument cluster and the dash harness. Please PM me about these pieces if you're deciding to part it out.
