MSP Owners In Cincy, Ohio

any sunday is fine by me. i would prefer to meet at Dave and Busters personally since they have beers and food, the games there are alright also. as for the winter tires. last winter sucked but i lived in cleveland/akron for a good chunk of my life and they seem to be able to drive better in snow than people in cincinnati, no offence, not saying any of you cant drive in the snow but i have seen some idiot drivers around here. i am keeping the tires and rims on my car. its got lsd and front wheel drive so it can't be that bad. my Rx-7 handles good in the snow amazingly so if this one stinks i have a alternate car to use.

I say we meet Sunday the 23rd @ D&B's for cars, beers and football - anyone in?
Also - Thanks for the response about the winter wheels. I'm keeping my wheels on too. I'm used to driving in the snow.

cool, my car is going in on that monday the 24th for a couple days to get fixed from being rear ended. i get a rental , cavalier, focus or corolla ,boooo lol

I'm in Akron and already have my winter tires on. They use so much salt here, want to keep my wheels intact.
And besides, with low profile tires, and 17 inch Z-rated tires...you won't get much traction....those tires will be rock hard in extreme cold.
I would check the winter tire treads guys if I were you...

anyhow, I might be free this sunday...we should set up a time, and I have NO IDEA were Tri-county is (farely new to akron, sort of...), what`s the addres so I can mapquest it...

later

I know this is an older thread, but I live in Lebanon and frequent the Tri-county area.

hopefully i will have my car back by next week, and yeah we should have a meet in the spring

definatly... The guys from Ohio are VERY cool and a lot of fun to hang out with. Our meet last summer kicked a lot of ass.

i just interviewed for a job in cincy and if i take it i may need someone to take me apt shopping.

also, how bad is traffic on 75n and 275w in the mornings. im thinking of living in northern kentucky and driving the 20 miles to work every morning.

Ewww... 75n and 275w suck, but people do it every day. Where are you interviewing?

if you leave in the right amount of time you will be ok. i haven't really found it any worse than any other city and in fact better than most larger cities.

i live in Florence and its a nice area, close to cincy, as well as quiet and peaceful with lots of stuff to do all the time that isn't really far away. the apt im in is 2 bedroom for 520 a month ,and its a nice area, lots of enthuisists live around me too which is cool

thanks for the info. i interviewed with american racing wheels and if i get it (i think i do) i would endup moving to northern ky

That's a nice price for a 2 bedroom/2 bath apt. I'm paying $820/month for a 1100sq/ft apartment with 2 bed/2 bath. Couldn't find anything much cheaper unless I wanted to live in a rat hole. Kentucky is a lot better when it comes to renting I feel.

well where i live is the most inexpensive acceptable to me place to live that i found. it is a little older apartment but they have been updated within the last year. it is normall 6xx but they had a 2 month free rent special which ended up being like 90 bucks off of each month. i did live in a brand new 1200sqft 2 bedroom and it was aroudn 1200 a month with 2 garages but after I broke up with my ex and he moved out i had to find a cheaper place to live. most places around here for what size i have are around 6-800 i just got lucky.

That makes me a feel little better about what I pay. It's about time to look at a house anyways and forget renting.

my 2-BR/1-BA apartment in Cinci costs 630/month and it's pretty decent

HMMM my 3 bedroom 2 bath house is 400 a month. nice neighborhood. glad i don't do apt. anymore

Your debt and percentage must be pretty low for that type of payment. A loan for $140k at 5% is around $850 a month if you have a 20% downpayment on the original purchase price. I do not have that much to put down, but I still might purchase a home since you get a nice tax break.
