MSP New Paint Job

Hey, I was just wondering how much it would cost approx. if I wanted to repaint a MSP for example from yellow mica to spicy orange mica or a blue mica? Thanks in advance.

To actually paint inside the door jambs, engine bay and everything is going to be a lot.

Someone once told me a "good" paint job starts at 2 grand.

I went with the same blue but just added extra blue pearl and then did a custom mix black for the center and mine was over 4K.

you need a reputable shop to do that dude..

watch out for the lowest priced shop.. it's not necessarly the best one.. and neither is the highest priced one..

you need good customer feedbacks from the shops.. and price will be your LAST decisive factor..

also doing a complete color change hardly ever turnes out right unless u take the engine, doors, etc off because you will always see it. i had a girlfriend who painted her integra from black to yellow and it looked like s***(burp). unless its a really good shop, even still you will see imperfections in the shade and angles. stick to a color thats close to or darker then the stock one. good luck.

oh ya, when you trade in or sell the car the value will decrease alot.

You could do a different black and be fine. Say if you wanted a black and red scheme you could do a black with red pearl graphics/ghost flames/ghost scallops or a complete red pearl coat.

It would give you something similar to the black cherry on the speed 6. But you wouldn't have to pull the motor cause the base of the car is already black.

See what I mean. If you car is orange than do something that compliments the orange and add extra coats of clear to get that deep shine.

right but you all knew what i meant you could take a red car and to like a red and black two tone and be OK but its just so much work to take a yellow car and make it blue.... i mean its such a job not saying it cant be done but a huge job that comes with a huge $$$ tag

I know a guy that does a damn good job and is cheap... only problem is you have to keep bringing him liquor as he paints better drunk... LOL!

I honestly think your looking for a figure and most people can not give you a figure with out seeing the vehicle. My MSP isn't in the finest shape few dents that need to be pulled and tons of scratches, but i got a quote for 3200 for a full paint job. But it could go up from there. I had a Cavalier and i put over 5,000 in the paint and body work that it had. So it all intales on the overal look of the car and what you may be adding or taking off. i found a website and it was 624 bucks for a gallon of Spicy orange MSP paint, in not sure how much it takes to paint a car.

I think it'd be pretty cool with a blue car and yellow door jams or even orange car with yellow door jams...I haven't seen it before, but the colors work well together!
