msp LSD in Mp3 tranny questions

It is easier to get in reverse now from last night for no reason. It is just a little harder to get out of reverse. Also backuplights are staying on all the time when I turn car on. Why is this?

There is a backup light indicator switch which is triggered by a portion inside the tranny. I'm guessing you guys did something wrong with that spring and ball portion of the tranny. There is definitely a part in the tranny that has to move/activate those lights and it's obviously messed up at this point.

When my tranny was initially put back together, my friends and I switched the back up sensor wires with the speedometer wires because the connectors were similar. It was a simple fix, but I was a little frustrated with it until I found the error.

Make sure you have it all set up correctly, you can use pics that are on the How-To thread or get pics from someone on which wires are routed where, what they look like and where they connect.

My speedo is working fine though. I unpluged the wire and conector for the backup lights and now I just do not have any back up lights until I can figure it out. If I had them switched would that mean my speedo would not be working properly?

well you could be switching the backup lights with the neutral indicator. Are you sure that they never go off? Otherwise you may have just simply missed that connector, or as I thought before, that you may have made a mistake inside the tranny. Did you guys keep careful track of the ball and spring that is so easy to lose?

When mine were switched the speedometer didn't work. But it could have been switched with something else. It's a good idea to label these things when you start disassembling even if it's just a connector that you think will easily reconnect. There usually seem to be similarities between certain connectors that can cause them to get confused.
