It would be flush with the rear bumper, this axle-back was designed by mazdaspeed for the P5. I will try to see if I have any image of it installed on the car.

Here are two pictures I could find of the exhaust installed on the car. I really enjoyed it! It gives a nice deep sound and not too raspy. Even had a little pop to it when driven hard (paired with a 4-1 header and sri).
