MSP Jack Points?

I know what the manual lists as jack points for a scissor jack. Pretty awful if you ask me. It looks like it would only do damage to the effects. Then again, I don't use scissor jacks.

Does anyone have suggestions on the best places to raise the MSP with a floor jack? If this has already been discussed, someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

i use the tow hooks, if not it crushes the metal where the scissor jack stand goes.

I dont remember wher i use it in the back, but in the front I just put it under that dome looking part of the frame...it seemed to work pretty good, and it's strong.

If anyone has a Digital Camera can you take a photo and show us?
this sounds stupid because it's should be easily seen if you look under the car, but for some reason i really can't seem to find it. At least, what i can see i don't think it's the jack stand. I don't want to have the car drop off and slip and smack the ground when i'm changing the tire!!

I haven't done the front, but I used a floor jack in the back under the center mount for the suspension. This is in the very center of the back, where the differential would be if it were a rear drive car.

If you're changing wheels, then ALWAYS use jack stands at hard points under the car. NEVER DEPEND ON A JACK TO KEEP THE CAR IN THE AIR. I like the people on this board and I don't want any wheelchair victims!

Thanks MSP Pro. Where do you place your jack stands in the back? I'm assuming it's somewhere under the frame. I'll look for the center mount.

Possible Floor Jack Solution

I have a solution for those of you who want to use a floorjack. Buy a hockey puck and cut a grove, the size of the rail that you need to jack up the car on in the puck with a Dremel tool. Then place the puck on the top of the floor jack and line up the groove with the rail and then jack it up. I did this for my Miata and it works great and it is cheap.

Good Luck!
