MSP head

I have an extra head sitting in my garage - came with the msp when i bought it, prev. owner said he pulled it out of a 30-40k mileage protege,, Is it possible for a professional to look over it and verify it's in good shape? Or is it a matter of installing it and seeing?

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to have someone who knows what they are doing take a look at it? A machine shop can deck the head and do a valve pressure test and if needed a valve job, etc.

Yeah, a machine shop can do a visual inspection and dye it. My machinist is probably the BEST machinist I've ever known. That man can find ANYHTING wrong with one. I always send them no matter what, especially when I get used ones. And he always shows me what's wrong before he does anything to them or tells me to junk them.
