MSP got keyed last night grrrr

So some jerk decided to key my car last night. Both passenger side doors down to the metal. Of course, I have a $500 deductable so I am going to end up eating the cost. I am thinking of just putting some vinyl on the sides to cover it up and just wait until I want to repaint the whole car. Only problem is vinyl is so ricey But it would be a cheap solution.

Think it is a random act, I barely spend any time at home since I work so much. Only person I can think to have pissed off recently is some redneck in a pickup who I passed last week, who then decided to tailgate me until I turned off (He was going 35 in a 50 until I passed him). Should have got his plate number I guess, although I turned into a shopping center and I got keyed at home. But, the bright yellow is kinda distinctive and it is a small town.

that blows dude. Stay away from stickers they are ricey. I wonder if you could key it some more, to declare it vandalized or whatever, pay the 500 and get a paint job done thanks to insurance? My friend did that on his supra a while ago. Just throwing out dumb ideas!

I already reported it to the police, bout an hour after I reported it I had the same thought Guess I will take it to a shop on Tuesday and see how much it will run me to repaint the two passenger side doors. It just kills me to pay money for that, when I could have spent it on a performance mod!

P.S. Eric-BlackMSP...You go to Umass-Amherst? I live in Greenfield (went to grad school at UMass). We should hook up for a beer sometime.

Yeah that is the big killer! Of course you could always ding up your car in a couple of weeks with a bat and call it a hit and run!

Seriously thought, I would prolly get one of my friends to back into the doors and call it a hit and run. Just to get the free paint job. Then I would take it to a custom shop and get some killer ghost graphics done! I love yellow ghost graphics! lol

Just be careful in what ya decide.

Another rice thing you could do, is call them speed lines, pure JDM, increases your acceleration by letting air flow faster around the car!!

I haven't called the insurance, but the police came and looked at it and have a report on file.

yeah, but that might be waste of money, of course it's definatly worth a try, and might just work better than you'd expect. It's worth a try, since it would be cheaper than a complete paint job

Yeah I want to try that pen, I see it a lot. I got some spots on my fender, my friend was spraying rim cleaner on my rims, and got some on the fender, and it sat for like3 days before i noticed lol. Pissed me off a lot needless to say.

I feel for ya man. I dread the day when I first get keyed. I stay in everyones good graces at school..... and I try and park in well lit spots etc. I just know that people are assholes and it happens a lot. I mean, if you have a beef with me, punch me or something but don't bring my car into it.... SERIOUSLY

I got my car keyed the 2nd week I owned it and I havent fixed it yet. I just have some touchup paint on it to keep it from rusting. Its not too noticable. You might try that rather than stickers..

well, With my insurance i have a $500 deductable also. but when something happens such as some one keying it or breaking into it or something that is just plain obvious it is only a $50 deductible... might wanna check what your comprehensive deductible is cause thats what it would claim as.
