Taylor, if you listen to a stock Evo it too has a quiet turkey. You can hear it easily out on an autox course since it is open ground.
ah, ok....well maybe he's thinking the aftermarket BOV sound is the standard sound for the evo then? Cuz im sure 99% of evo owners change that...
SO your saying putting an aftermarket bypass valve and it would sound much better and louder?
i still think the easiest way is to relocate the MAF, i will be going that route at some point lol
yeah... and no. Just depends on what route you go. You are not going to get a loud sound out of a BPV, because it is recirculated. If it is sound you are looking for then you need to go with an atmospheric venting blow off valve (BOV). To do that successfully it is easiest to get hard pipes and run a dual set up leaving the stock BPV in location and having a BOV mounted on the cold pipe of the hard pipes. I am actually going to be sellign a couple BOVs here in the future, what kinda sound are you looking for? whip crack, whoosh, or whistle?
If I replace the stock BPV with a Forge BPV will it take the sound back to what it was before I added my Intake? Right now ive got turkey under the hood.

i heard doing the dual setup can cause fuel cut, is that true
Ah, well as long as the turkey and compressor surge are two different things I think I can deal with the noise until I figure out what I will do to fix.mazda ecu causes fuel cut, even stock cars can experience it in cold weather. Running a dual setup can cause you to have rich shift points though.
um... the msp is kind of, yea 12k cheaper at least, than an evo, used msp's go around 10k with nice mileage... and it is limited in production too wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy rarer than evos

ummm....turkey = compressor surge
