somehow i doubt destroyed would be a propper word for what you say you did. i can tell you right now that it wouldn't happen if it were car vs car on a long straight section of highway. i've owned both and the LS1 just hauls ass. it'll point the baby 4 banger turbo in its place any day.

well... when you're 16, low on financial funds, have to have a second car as a daily driver, took a reckless driving ticket to court, and no where to store your car....... you have to make a choice. :'( If i was only 21 at the time I would have been able to try harder at keeping it around. But sadly it didnt work out that way. But the guy who bought it collects older cars so at least it went into good hands. :'( :'( :'( :'( And maybe someday when I get a house, I'll try to track it down and buy it back. But for now Im just gonna stick to working on what I have.

i own both...actually mine isnt a WS-6, or an LS-1...LT-1 here...but i absolutely love that car...i've never had any problems with the interior, and in general it's a pretty reliable car...for being 10 years old and a daily driver for all 10 of those years, it has held up really well. and it can still kick my MSP's ass...no, it doesnt handle as well, but damn does it haul in a straight line...
and as far as looks, the formula looks soooo much better...gotta luv that ass....

i'd take my 00 Trans Am back over the MSP. i paid less per month for that than i am the great pumpkin. plus its sooo much faster its not even funny

in reply to the prev mention of the wrx, how come nobody does a compariosn to the wrx? i think we know how that would turn out. WRX>MSP . in looks close but edge wrx (personal pref.) , performance (straight line and handling-awd), value (awd 227 hp turbo for $25k, still seats 4, has a trunk and headroom), quality (contains recaro and momo parts from the factory), uniqueness- MSP due to availability (jerkit). my $0.02

People compare the MSP to the WRX all the time. Stock for stock, the WRX has better acceleration form a dig and the MSP is a far more capable in handling. With money and mods, anything is possible so its a pointless conversation from that point.

I don't crap on anyone unless they really piss me off or are an obvious troll. You haven't proved either. Yes an MSP handles better the WRX stock for stock. The MSP handles better then the WRX once the WRX is even hihgly modified. Hell the MSP handles better then my STi. Comparing 2 cars in a broad sense using two examples that are moddified, isn't really comparing anything except money spent. You can compare them as a single case, but not logicly as represneting all of their respective models. USing your example, how can someone compare the MSP to the transam in a general sense if the MSP was radicly modified? If someone going to compare general attributes about cars, then I find it best to do that form their stock forms. Such as the MSP handles better then the WS6. The WS6 on the other hands is going to out accelerate the MSP in any range. Surely modifing one can get it closer to the other ones advantage. Money can make an MSP accelerate neck and neck with a WS6. Money can also make an WS6 carve the road like an MSP. But that same money can be spend on either car to make it an even larger gap.
