Hey all-
Just brought my car up to Columbus for spring quarter. I'm a third year up here at OSU and this is the first time I will have had my car up here! It's parked behind an apt complex on 14th but keep your eyes peeled for it on the streets. See you all around. Hopefully we can come up with a spring meet sometime soon.

yeah, every time i try to get something planned everyone flakes out. such as for HIN in chicago this weekend, At one point I had 7 people from Cincy/Columbus driving up but now its only me. I am willing to plan something if people are willing not to flake out. It kinda sucks when you do a lot of prep for nothing b.c no one is commited and they dont show up.

Hey Perro del Sol,

Amy,

I'm not sure where the prime location would be for a meet between cincy, columbus or elsewhere but if we decide cincy I'll help organize. Seems as if we have plenty of interest, just need to get it rollin...

Any suggestions for location, time, etc.?

Well it would be great if it was after I got back from Dallas lol. How about Saturday April 22, or 29th. That way its far enough ahead so we have time to plan, plus hopefully Adrian can come up for the meet if its one of those weekend. YAY

Sounds good to me. I'm gonna vote for the 22nd...

i dont think i have anything planned for either of those weekends...i'll have to check at home. i work nights, tues-friday, so if its on a saturday i would prefer later...so that i could sleep at least a little bit.

I'd go for the 22nd also...let's get this thing going

Ok so we have a tenative date. April 22nd... say around 3-4pm? It should be light out for a while and then we can all go to somewhere for dinner/ gaming/gocart place after that or something .

A bunch of us are from Cincy, but also some from up near Cleveland so once again it looks like Columbus might be the center point. I am not sure what everyone is thinking about that though. I personaly know a lot more stuff to do down here just b.c its local to me Lets get this thing rolling. I'm leaving tmw for Chicago/Dallas but I will have my computer with me while Im gone so we can start planning Oh and yes Me= dork lol

I just got my msp bout 3 months ago and i live bout an hour southeast of toledo but im up for a meet, just let me know when and where

Hey i was looking into some stuff to do on april 22nd in columbus and i found a rally race that day. i e-mailed the guy and he informed me that it was an amateur event w/ street cars. Anyone can do it, here's what he said:

These are low speed events run by normal street cars. It sounds like you are looking for the professional events. Unfortunately, there are none of them in the area this Spring. If, however, you and your friends would like to come out an take a drive thru the country you are welcome to compete in our event(s). Tom's rally will be about 2-3 hours long covering about 70-80 miles of country roads where you will be expected to follow the clues to get through the course (right after the bridge, left at "SMITH") and to maintain set average speeds. At various points you will encounter checkpoints where your progress will be timed and you get penalty points for being too early or too late.

I though it would be fun to watch a rally even but this obviously isn't what I though it was but it could be fun to do in teams on a nice day. Just though I'd throw that out there. I'll keep looking for other things to do in the area as well as a good place for everyone to meet. Anyone else has some ideas let us know, and lets make sure this thing happens!
