msp amp/sub enclosure in a protege ES

Hi, I'm looking at buying a MSP sub/amp enclosure from another member for my 03 protege ES... i'm wondering how well this would work?

I have the stock speakers still in the back deck (the protege came w/ those, not the rear door speakers)

I'm also wondering what you guys think of the stock msp sub/amp... is it pretty bad? do most of you end up replacing it anyway?

Yea, it's pretty bad. My friend replaced his with a JL

you can't keep your stock speakers if you use the sub

I was never happy with mine and ended up taking the sub and amp enclosure out and selling it on ebay. Replaced it with two 10" alpine subwoofers and amp along with other custom audio/video components. Was never a big fan of the permium Kenwood system in the MSP.
