MSP 8" subwoofer replacement

good post all...my sub just died and im tyrin to find a sutable replacement. i miss read i think, which amp is a rated higher then the stok one..but fits in the stock mount?

its gonna be hard to find a amp that has more power thank will fit in the stock mount. i just hooked up a bigger and and didnt use the stock mount

makes sense...did you use the stock harness or did you have to get "creative"

Well the thing is you probb shouldnt use the stock power and neg. The stock wiring is like 16 gauge, so it blows. I just went out and got the walmart 4 gauge? scoshe wiring kit for like 35 bucks, and its working fine,

I redid the wiring for the amp and sub and replaced the sub with an 8" kicker I had and even with the stock amp it sounds a lot better than before. I think it is plenty of bass but could see upgrading the amp and sub in the future.

I'm just wondering if you guys know the size of the 4 bolts that hold up the enclosure, when I bought mine it didn't come with any bolts. Thanks in advance!

If you can find a hardware store it would only take you a few minutes to figure it out. That's what I would do anyway.
