MSP, 19s and goldline springs

being a juggalo I probaly have more rights to say I don't care what you think,but in the end I do like my car to look it's best,and I do like the way I make people feel after I take them out for a mountian run. That would mean I like thier opinion.

i dont understand what the big deal is about getting 19's. ok my car is gonna get slowed down so much considering right now im planning on getting my engine rebuilt with forged internals (depending on whether or not it actually is hydrolocked) and then after i finish my system and wheels i'll be saving for the thumper kit and aem standalone (will that make it slower?). but you're right. all show no go. and what makes you think that the 19's that either me or him are getting are going to be heavier than the stock wheels? you have no idea.. you just jump in to put people down because you're a know it all. so instead of putting us down because we want to be different, focus more on getting your smaller wheels which will probably be cheap POS's and make your car super fast (even tho it probably never will be)

ya if i end up gettin the 19s im gonna get like a 7.5 inch width..i wanna keep them in a 215/40 tire that way there i know they wont stick out or cause a problem that way..

no, you won't want 215/40/19, you'll want 215/35/19, and even that is taller than stock

by the way, you can pick up cnutuckem's 19" tires for 400 bucks (yippy)

plus if you get the right 19", it might actually be lighter than the MSP rims

although, the further away from the axis (center of hub) the mass of the wheel & tire is concentrated, the more torque it will require to make it turn... so 19s will in general cause more resistance than 17s, as a rule, even if the weight is the same

19's don't have to be heavy to slow your car down,it's like putting in a smaller final drive.It will make the car move slower off the line,but you will have a slightly higher top speed(pretty useless).not only that but the change in torque transferd through will start breaking thing if you start adding a lot of horespower.

and whats the crack on ......make your car super fast(even though it will never be).you think just because you got money to through down your top dog.your a fool(I'll gladly see you at the track)

you just keep on paying other people to build you a car,and call it "being different"
at least I can say "I did it",almost every aftermarket part for my car was built by me from the FMIC to the exhaust.

I got real drunk the other night and almost ordered 20 inch chromies online for fun....I want to be the first MSP in DUB magazine! HA! I can pose with my MSP and my twin glocks. Also, from what I understand, recent studies have shown that ICP sucks.....sorry man, I shouldn't have said that.

I'm sorry for being an asshole.. I'm just pissed off that everyone is so condescending of what everyone else does. I think it's good that you make your own parts because it's a good learning experience and not many people are willing to try stuff like that on their own. I might not be very hands on, but I try to be tasteful, and do things that other people will like to see. Just because I didn't fiberglass my own body kit.. or reupholster my own back seat doesn't mean it's not my own work. Instead of building my own parts... I'm busy working 70 hours a week while going to school to afford parts that I want to get. We all work for what we get.. some people just do things differently. So I appologize for getting defensive and putting you down, I was just aggravated.

PS. I still can't figure out how it would make that much of a difference. Say for example the wheels weigh approximately the same. Then add the rubber. A tire that is 215/45/17 will weigh more than a 215/35/19 correct? Also, the total diameter of a 45/17 tire and a 35/19 tire is only like 1.2 mm difference if I remember correctly. So what am I missing? I can't figure out why it would be so much different.

I would think 19's would handle horribly. On my 2000 Protege I went from 17" wheels/tires to 18" wheels/tires. The didn't weight more than about 2lbs more each wheel. But the rotational mass alone made the car much much slower. I also noticed they were unable to grip during turns like my 17's. And the tire wasn't the difference, its hard to handle any worse than a Kumho 711 tire.

19" are tight and i think if chosen correctly will be sweet. It's a very thin line though and it all depends on the wheel design.

I'd say be like me and get 18"s and ground controls.
