MS6 Price

I have heard how dealers are really marking down the MS6's to very low prices. I was just wondering if these low prices are only applied to those that the dealers currently have in stock or whether you can get a low price for one being transferred from another dealer or from an order. Conviently all the MS6's near me are all grand touring- I hate leather so I will only consider the sport model.

Also I know that MazdaSpeeds usually have a production life of two years, so does that mean that this is the last year? If so whats the last month you could get them from the factory?

Thanks

I am a noob to the MS6, but concur with you on the leather, I just wanted a sport. I was originally considering a Miata, but once I drove the MS6 that was it...mind changed, done.

The dealer I worked with brought in my vehicle from another dealer about 40 miles away, and sold it to me for $100 over factory invoice (including their "value" plan which includes two free oil/services per year and free loaner car program for life), so I would say it is possible.

I am referring to lower prices, I remember last year people were getting them for as low as 22k.

This is the last year for the MS6. Also, I would imagine you could only negotiate the lower price (like i did on mine last sept!) on what they have on the lot. I might be wrong, but I think that is why they are marked down, its taking up space on their lot and there is no cost of transporting them. But it never hurts to try!!!

Yea I assumed that it was strictly for cars on the lot. However, even with transferring it from another dealer, that second dealer also wants to get it off the lot so they might give it to a local dealer for a very low price. The fact still remains whether they give it to another dealer or sell it themselves that it takes up space.

I'd imagine there are far fewer 07 models made then 06, so the insane deals aren't as easy to come by. They had overstock, and the car was leftover and a year old already so that's why you started seeing 22k and less prices. Not sure about the 07, but I do know that the lease deal and cash back incentive isn't nearly as good as it was one year ago on the 06. To me that says they didn't make as many 07 models, therefore they can be more patient when unloading them.

An FYI, exactly one year ago I got my Speed 6 Sport for $23500. It then slowly reduced in price as the car got older (depreciation), and then you saw the car lower and lower, until it knocked down to 22k or less once the car became leftover, and was no longer leasable. If there are any 07 models left in fall of 07 or early 08, like they had on the 06, you will see the 22k or less deals I'm sure, but they may not be around because there are much fewer 07 models I believe. :)
