MS6 Max boost ~ 10-12 PSI

Hey everyone,

Just put a 3" downpipe on my car [ M2 Performance? Or something along those lines ], had an issue with Protege Garage, didn't tighten down bolts on my driveshaft, long story short, the thing broke and destroyed my stock downpipe, I asked for an aftermarket 3" downpipe, and was sent a cheap-o eBay downpipe. Since I've put this on, there is a small boost leak on the v-band / clamp that holds the turbo flange / downpipe together, that is going to be welded by a buddy of mine shortly. I am not sure if that's what's causing my lack of pressure or not, but I'm curious if anyone knows what else may be causing the problem.

When the driveshaft destroyed the downpipe, it also destroyed the second O2 sensor. I am currently not running a second O2 sensor, money's been tight and can't afford one right now, could this potentially be causing the problem?

To clarify, I had no issues with boosting before the new downpipe went on the car [ had 16-18 PSI constant, with 20 PSI peak -ish ] I know there is a common issue that you need a new fuel pump after a downpipe is put in, but I don't think the fuel pump would cause a lack of boost.

Please let me know what you guys think, ANY feedback is appreciated!!!

Thanks a lot,

Tony

A leak after the turbo should not cause a loss of energy. A leak before however could be responsible for the lack of boost.

Does your car throw cel's?

Without the secondary sensor, someone correct me if i am wrong, but the car should go into limp mode and throw a cel thus only allowing so much load/power.

I did get a CEL about a day and a half ago. So this would make sense if the car is in the "limp mode" as you stated. I'm getting a new O2 sensor in a day or so, so with that, I will let you know if the problem's resolved.
