Has anyone adjusted their headlights??

Even though I have a definite line where the beam ends, my beam is not smooth across - kinda like it has a ridge that rises from one side to the other.

I have had a hell of a time trying to get the beam level. It almost seems like the headlights have a projection pattern that is the same - the left and rights project in the same way - the beams do not oppose each other.

Has anyone else had a similar problem???

Our stock HIDs do have a ridge..something like this:

the left one will almost always be lower. im pretty sure its a law because it can blind oncoming cars.

Yes - the ridge ____/------ ____/------

However, I disagree about one thing: my Miata has a very defined line - but one side is not lower - they are equally balanced.

Glad the link helped. I came across it recently when I wanted to adjust my headlight's aim.

Don't forget that there is a button wheel next to the DSC button inside the car that allows you to aim your beam up or down from within the car but I think you're talking about physically adjusting the headlight from outside aren't you?

when adjusting the right to left alignment of the lamps, which direction of rotation is right and which is left? i say this becasue my projector is hitting the chromed housing and will not move back to the right where it needs to be. it is horribly pointed to the left

i have not turned it far in any direction becasue i am unsure whats what. a search lead me to nothing so i thought i would revive the old days.
