MS6+Fujita=Lower Boost?

Ever since i installed my fujita CAI i went from trapping 96/97 in the quarter to 92/93 so i guess i get to take it off and throw it away.

You likely have the filter too far up on the pipe. It blocks airflow... Also the actual boost level is dependant on several factors, including air temp, engine temp, etc. Unless you're running a MBC or EMS, the max boost observed will indeed vary.

I checked the filter last night at the track and its definately not too far up on there.

Doesn't our cars have certain boost levels for each gear? I have the fujita on my car I have no prob with mine.

Well I did lots of troubleshooting with this issue.

I removed the Fujita and found the rubber o ring that goes on the maf sensor was cut. I temporarily fixed it but still was leaking.

I picked up the replacement O ring from Mazda..It was $14 for 2 o rings.

I than re-installed the fujita with replacement o ring and still having boost issues.

Only see around 11 psi in 1st & 2nd gear.

The rest of the gears i am seeing spikes to 15-16 psi..and steadily drops to 11psi.

So this weekend i will be throwing the stock intake back on and see where i am at.

I was looking at my time slips from before and after the intake and i seem to gain the same mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 as i did before im just around 5 mph slower in the 1/8th. Around the time i installed the CAI i had my car flashed. The flash was supposed to help hesitation yet my car hesitates more now then it did before. Any chance they did the wrong flash or has anyone had any problems with the latest one?

Acid-- How did the boost go after you installed the stock box??

Haven't had an opportunity to put the stock box back on. Hopefully will have time this weekend.
I was busy installing my SU Motor Mount and of course the 4th(usa)over the weekend.
