Ms6 Apr

one of our 6 members has traded in on a gt and he loves it but subies aren't everyones style. If someone actualy has the money for a speed 6 and actualy orders and still holds out then they seriously want the speed 6. I just wanna see if it is as horrible as all the revews say it is. Regardless how heavy it is my car is still gonna be slower.

Not if you get the chip to put it at 300.... :)

The only user review we have so far (guy supposedly drove one) was that its got prolific amounts of understeer, more then a standard 6, but not as bad as he thought it was going to be. The car's definitely not designed to perform, its just designed to be a really awesome touring car.

chip...is this another one or the customizer "BATA" one we already know of?

Anybody seen the "Grand Touring" Mazda6? We got 2 today, pretty nice looking.

is this the grand touring one?

I think he's talking about the 06s. I can't wait to try the V6. 5 less hp, but 9 more lb/ft of torque...

change the front and rear bumpers, trunk, and move V6 badge to trunk(altima style) and thats it.

The seats, center console and door panels are a little different, too. The rear tail lights... a few minor things, but overall shape and style is still very much the 6.

I ment exterior wise. I can't open the thread that had picts...

Also has different wheels.

From far away I thought it was a MS6....I was kindove sad to see it wasn't.

yes fugly wheel selection added...

^^^I think that they were trying to make an "upscale" statement with the new wheels. They are similar in appearance to wheels found on the Audi A6 and A8. While the MS6 is definitely one of the aforementioned cars, I think that they wanted to give it that appearance by differentiating its wheels from the usual "tuner-type" stuff.

Living Near MNAO, I have seen numerous 06' MX-5's, MS6's & regular 6's. I still hate all the wheels on all the 6's but everything else looks good. I like the taillights on the older 6's better. I saw one by Starbucks the other morning and the interior is a much better improvement. The guy is there quite often but never got a chance to talk to him. He drives a black cherry mica speed6, like the color of the shinka RX-8. All the cars plates are all dst plates, so I know they are pre-production.

Only two or three more weeks according to my dealer here. Of course, that changes every time that I see him, but I'm hoping that this is the real deal this time.

If it makes any difference we've got the invoices on the car right now... Just no wheels on the ground.

The mazda 5 rims would have been a better choice on the 6 IMHO...

The 5 rims are nice.... Lots of customers are surprised that those are standard. The 06 6 rims look pretty good in pictures though, so I think they'll look better in person.

First MS6's apparently enroute to the dealers now!

Bank St. Mazda told me today that my car was shipped from the factory Tuesday of last week. They expect that it will be in T.O. by this weekend, and in my hands by Wed or Thurs of next week.

If I don't have that car by Friday, I am picking up a 2006 Volvo V50 T5 Wagon instead. We've been waiting for this car for a year now and my wife has been after me to cancel the order and pick up a mini-van or SUV instead. I told her that I couldn't do the mini-van or SUV thing. A kick-ass wagon I can do, but not the mini-van or SUV.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that Friday I am driving a new black-on-black MS6!
