MS6 Alarm Issues

My dads alarm keeps randomly going off. Did it 3 times last night and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. My theory was that a sensor got dirty, and when it rained set it off. Yesterday it wasn't even driven so I am not too sure.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. He has a GT, so he has the Advanced Keyless Entry, which is usually screwy as well. Electrical issues??

Shock sensor? I remember they go bad and cause havoc... check that first it has a red light on it that shows when its being triggered. Should be mounted under the center console.

In my Prius 2 I have an alarm. You must activate the alarm by pushing the panic button on your fob. You wouldn't push the panic button unless you see someone near your car trying to damage it or get into the car. I believe it is worthless because you must see the criminal doing something to your car. Most alarms are worthless like the one on the Prius 2. At least the one on the Prius will not sound off falsely.

Th shock sensor is mounted on the left side of the steering column under the dash, and has an adjustable dial you can use to set the sensitivity. If the car has it, you can lock it and smack the windshield to set the alarm off. The way to set the sensitivity is take a tennis ball and drop it from a yard over the windshield; that should not set the alarm off, so you play with the dial until it doesn't.

Since it was raining, it's possible it was raining so hard that it set the alarm off, or some water got into something and shorted a connection to trigger the alarm. The battery being low might also have an effect, make sure the battery is good.
