MS3 WOT Timing

OK i have a question for all ms3 owners that are able to log timing. Under wot what does your timing look like. Upon spool up my timing hits negative numbers in the -4 to -8 range, once the turbo is spooled the timing goes to 0 than slowly rises with rpm to a max value of 12-13 but hovers right around 10-11. When i let off the throttle it shoots up to the high 40s low 50s. I just find it a lil wierd how its only running 10-13 degrees of timing under wot in the high rpms.

I'll make some logs tonight and post them up, but that sounds about right from what I remember of my older logs.

btw u sold me on the dashhawk. The gf is getting it for xmas. I will be doing some tunning thanks to that lil box of goodness.

Make sure you do a full 6700 rpm pull just cause the turbo falls off at 5800 might not mean mean the ecu stopped feeding in timing. and again that sounds low. Stage two cobalts maps run 18 degrees of timing and i've ran up to 22 degrees on pump through the winter. Only using them as an example cause the compression cobalts run is same as us even though we move more air.

Too bad they don't pay me for advertising LOL!

Here are a few of my logs tonight. First one is gears 1-3 and the other 2 are in 4th gear. Timing seems to be doing pretty much what yours is doing, dipping down a little below zero then coming up to about +10-12. It was fairly cold tonight around 45F (cold for San Diego ;)) and I've never seen my AFR so high before at WOT. Its around 11:1 in the 2nd & 3rd log. But its around 9.5:1.

Let me know if you want the actual log files. And I didn't read the last post before I recorded them so I didn't take it to redline. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow.

My dashhawk will be here tomorrow, time for some tunning.

Are u planning on running an o2 sensor off of the dashhawk? Is that why you want it? I just got another aem uego and planning on installing that this week sometime.

the dashhawk picks up the stock wideband readings. Its the same price as on o2 sensor, has the ability to log everything. I dont see why you would go with a wideband. Plus i dont feel like taking of my downpipe just to drill a bung, thats way to much work lol. I also kind of want the see the a/f ratios the computer thinks it sees apposed to what an aftermarket wb sees.
