MS3 turbo seals

I have read that the turbo seals on the MS6 have been having problems, and causing white smoke. Does the MS3 have the same issue?

Horse crap. Some people are having white smoke (called steam) when changing out exhaust component, most notable with after market down pipes.

+1 only those with exhaust mods see the smoke in ms3's as far as i know.
i know it happened to my car, and went away with the stock stuff back on.

People the white smoke is WATER. So unless you have a serious coolant leak which would bellow white smoke like a fog machine, it must be condensastion.

Given how fast a turbo can build up heat and how high that temp can climb, its not unusual to see smoke. I'm not going to explain it again, but a little white smoke here and there Is normal. If you think its not, then check your coolant level regularly. If it starts to drop then maybe you do have a problem, but if theres no change, then guess what, Its not broke.

the smoke i and some others with exhaust mods have seen s not condesation. if you look close it has a blue tint to it. its oil. for some reason the turbo let oil b the seal when the backpressure is removed. my car lost a full qt. of oil in less than 100 miles when i had my TBE on !! it would smoke up the garage if i let it idle for a while. ask ken at protege garage, he was in my garage and saw it for himself. it was oil !! well with the stock stuff back on i have gone 6000 more miles and done 2 oil changes and not lost a drop.
i do beleave it is the turbo seals, but with a stock front half exhaust it does not pose a problem.

i was reading over on the ms6 forums, and they have been experiencing surging issues, many were finding oil on the charge side of the turbo, and in the throttle body, some found it in the intercooler charge pipes. Sounds like an oil leak issue to me...

Well if its a turbo seal warranty that ******.
Oil on the charge side of the turbo happens, mainly from the PCV system, BUT an EXCESSIVE amount is very bad.

White isn't bad, That's probably just Cold.

A Lot White is probably Coolant (Head Gasket with a sweet Smell)

A Bit blue is just Rich A/F (Normal)

A Lot Blue is Blown Seals.
