MS3 to get painted again!

I'll throw some pics up later...I get to my friend's house to start day 2 of putting in my boost gauge and I notice some greenish looking liquid on my front fender and under the hood. Looks like nail polish. I go to wipe it off and it doesn't go. I use my finger nail to scratch it off and it comes out...all the way to metal

I have a streak of green splotches all the way down the driver front fender that is actually melted(?) paint. Looks like something like brake fluid got on there and ate the paint away. It was still wet when I noticed it so it had to have got on there right before I left my place or somewhere on the way to my friend's house.

The biggest puddle was actually under the hood right on the lip near one of the hood bushings. I have no idea what the odorless clear liquid was but I will keep an eye out for any more puddles poping up. All this 2 days after my car got back from the collision shop (notcool)

Wow Kosh,

I can't believe the luck. Do you think the body shop/dealer might have something to do with this. Have you screwed around w/brake fluid recently? I would take the car back to wherever the body work was done and ask them what the hell they were doing to your car after it was painted. I'd definitely be raiding all sorts of hell with the shop right now! Go get 'em and do it soon!(rant)

Don't think it had anything to do with the shop. They fixed the back of my car and this new problem is in the front. Got my car back on Friday and noticed this on Sunday. Nothing in my car appears to be leaking fluid so it could have just been something on the road that splashed up.

Remind me to stay off the roads where you live. Toxic waste flowing down the streets? Sheesh- we only have to worry about bridges falling down where I live!

if it is indeed brake fluid, its a pain in the a$$ repainting. they will have to sand down EVERYTHING, and clean it with Acetone. Even thought, still might have issues.

sorry to hear about this. I hate to say it but it looks like vandalism. If it's green and wont come off, I bet a dollar it's navel jelly. Kinda thick, right? This stuff is super strong and toxic. Again, sorry to hear about this.

Vandalism isn't out of the question here...the woman who hit my car and had to pay for the repairs was pretty pissed I found out she was the one who hit me. I could see her doing this to get me back for having to pay a deductable. Too bad I will never find out if she did anything or not.

kosh that sucks, theres a vette at my work got scratched on the side with the wheellike yours, that sucks!!! , the stray cats at my apartment love me so much they love to play on my car, cat sctratches all over the hood roof doors. not that noticable but still there

Hmm... perhaps genetically/ chemically engineered bird poo bioweapon? Unless you live near a nuclear power plant, I also think it could be the result of vandalism. >_<

I don't know if I care enough to get it repainted. Love the car but don't want to send her back to the shop for cosmetic reasons. I'll put off fixing this as long as I can stand since it comes out of my pocket.
