MS3 Street Unit Motor Mount - sold

The reason I'm selling is that I switched to CPE mount. I don't know whether CPE is as "tough", time will show I guess, but it has stock level of vibrations whereas the SU mount was a bit noticeable with AC on. And I'm still keeping the TRZ mount.

The new one I believe is $129 right now. That's 29% more. And the way I see it the mount is broken in so you get to skip that stage. Anyway, I'm open to offers.

might be interested... but id rather try the new cpe mounts... stupid backorders :(

are these the softer or harder ones?

I'm getting a used SU motor mount from someone tonight - question is, how easy is the install.. run into any issues, have any problems with this mount? Does it really help with the infamous wheel hop? How about with the 2nd gear pop-out?

Reason I ask, is this weekend, while auto-crossing.. the 2nd gear popped out 3 times while driving. Tranny seems to move itself so much at high RPMs and cheap mazda mount's just don't seem to keep it in place in this case... grrr

There was one other person that took their ms3 to the dealership, had gears replaced, and the clutch master cylinder.

quoting the person that had this work done..
"Well, Mazda is supposedly beefing up the first and second gear synchros because of trouble they have had with the Speed3's (the extra power, I guess). But the jury is still out on whether this "fix" is right. I am having all sorts of driveability issues after the "fix" - it is almost impossible to get it into first gear - even at a standstill from a stop. And second is not much better. I will likely take it back to have the dealer take a look in the next few days because this is NOT the way it should feel...

I am returning my Speed3 to Westside Mazda tomorrow for them to look again at the tranny and shifter. A few weeks ago, they replaced first and second gears, and it is far worse than it ever was before the "fix."

They replaced the clutch master cylinder. I didn't even know there was a clutch master cylinder. Not much difference. Still pretty damn hard to get into first and second."

...and it still continues, I'm trying to opt for the least amount of a headache from this. If it gets really really bad, I may start taking it in, and if no help with it, lemon law time (if it comes to that).

Sorry for the lengthy post..

I've never had second gear pop-outs even with the stock mount.
The install of the SU or any other mount for that matter is very simple. Esentially it comes down to five bolts (two mount bolts and three transmission bracket bolts) that have to be taken out and then reinstalled with the new mount.

Fructus you figure out if ur comin to the dyno day yet? If you are bring that mount and we'll try to work out a price.

I probably won't come because I still didn't get the DP and AP. The DP is on backorder from CP-E. Let me know how much you are willing to pay for the mount. We could probably work something out.
