ms3 newbie needs advice!

I debate the fmic vs tmic in my head all the time. How much of a difference did it make going to the tmic and why are you thinking about going fmic? Not trying to put you on the spot, just trying to justify going to fmic first instead of going with a new tmic and wishing I had gone fmic.
 
I loved the ETS 3.5" tmic when I first got it but w/ the dashhawk I see it does get some heat soak from the engine bay.
That didn't bother me because it cools down quick once I start driving.
Then I got the COBB AP. I tried different MAPS but still had some issues so now I have decided to get the COBB FMIC and will be going ALL COBB on the car. I also got on a a beta tester for new maps to be released.
