MS3 K04 Map found

My car runs 10-12 deg of timing at WOT and 18 psi. I thought that was a pretty aggressive amount. I've only tuned this car so am not familiar with "aggressive" timing but I was impressed with 10-12 from the factory.

Additionally, I added 1.5 deg of timing on the dyno and made like 3 more whp. The gain was so slight I didn't want to risk it. Zigger baked his motor on his tune and it was pretty much all timing yet the most they advanced it was 3 deg.

Finally, I also upped my boost to 19 psi (only change) and lost 1 hp. We felt the turbo was blowing hot air by then.

visibly our turbos look alot bigger than the wussy ko4 on the audi's . My dick wont even fit into the ko4 inlet. the ms3 turbo inlet is more like my penis size. thus i dont think they are the same thing. any ideas.

you dirtydog tryen to get that turbo to suck your wiener...lol

there are people on this forum i dont wanna meet.

primarily the ones who try and have sex with turbochargers.

I was pondering this thread last night and I thought to myself... ok so you guys are pushing 20 psi of intercooled boost. that means the turbo is kicking a couple of lbs more than that to make up for the distance covered and the cooler, denser air. if the limit for the turbo is 21ish, I don't think it would be efficient to go any higher than 18-19, unless you have another boost gauge on the turbo outlet making sure that you're measuring the actual boost the turbo is producing, not just the boost the engine is seeing.

just my $0.02

Totally off topic, and I apologize, but does anybody else remember when keyboards had a cent symbol? A "c" with a line through it? For that matter, how about when a dollar sign was two lines over an "S" and now it is the one line. Originally it was a "U" superimposed over an "S" for "U.S. Currency", but even I'm not old enough to remember using that.

An urban myth popularized by Ayn Rand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar_sign#From_.27US.27

For those too lazy to read, the symbol was used before the "United States" existed.

And now, back to on topic :)

I'M ASKING ABOUT OVERBOOSTING DARN YOU PEOPLE

it's going to change that to not all caps like it should be.

The thought of inserting one's penis inside an orifice that contains a bladed object that is intended to spin at over 100,000 RPMs is "slightly" disturbing...

same damn thing. The turbo is actually an upgrade on the old 1.8 motors since it was off the Bi-turbo S4 and the 1.8's had a K03.

FYI... the tt s4 came with dual k03s. The 1.8t came with a k03. The tt rs4 came with dual k04s. So the guys "upgrading" turned to the turbo off the rs4, not the s4. PG rep wrong.. again.

interesting discussion lets keep it on topic guys i don't want to have to prune another thread...

The weaker 1.8's had the K03, the TT Quattro and S3 had the K04.

Which tt quatro are you talking about? The 2000 audi s4tt as well as the 2.7tt a6 and the off road a6 2.7tt, all had the same engine and k03 turbos.

Only the audi rs4 of those years had twin k04s. The S3 may have had a single k04, but I have no idea.. since they were not USDM (drunk)
