What the hell are you waiting for. Of course its worth. Why wouldn't...??? Trust me you will not regret it.

I took a trip from Nashville to Knoxville on I-40 yesterday. I usually average 75-105 mph and would get 25mpg prior to the MS CAI. With CAI yesterday I averaged 30 mpg using the same speed.

after having my cai for a few weeks now, there is definately an increase in mpg. i do mostly hwy driving and i regularly see 30mpg now. i drive the same if not harder just to hear the turbo/BOV. i sure as hell cant average 34mpg though...not even at 60mph !

No, looks the same to me. I even cleaned out the tailpipe completely to see a difference and nothing...25 miles later after hitting it hard same thing...hehe But I love my CAI and BOV.

The "sooty" look in the pipe is only due to the Direct Injection, it is not a sign of any kind of tuning problem (Incorrect fuel/air ratio, etc.) The fuel is injected DIRECTLY into the combustion chamber, not back in some runner in the intake manifold. Injecting upstream in the manifold results in evaporation of a portion of the charge, but direct injection results in no evaporation, hence a denser fuel charge and resulting "sooty" look in the exhaust. This denser charge also serves to cool the combustion chamber, allowing a fairly high (9.5-1) compression ratio. Don't worry about it!(chair)

call me on it if you want to...but I think '07 will be the only one. Thats the way of the other Mazdaspeeds.

I dunno... most successful Mazdaspeed ever, in terms of critical praise and disappearing from dealer lots. Also the turbo 2.3 is used in other Mazda cars which you couldn't say about the MSP or MSM. Got to be better profit margins for Mazda.

I just drove 650 miles in cruise control mode. The trip computer indicated 27.4 MPG, but I calculated 25.52 MPG. My grandma died and I drove 325 miles to the funeral, then 325 miles back home all in cruise control on the freeway and light accelerations in town. Got a ticket btw. In-appropriate lane change. Damn slow drivers in the left 2 lanes, so i used the right lane to go around. Half of the trip was in rain.
