MS MSP Head Unit trouble

Forgive me if this has been addressed before, but i looked and didn't find it.

My Kenwood unit is shutting off and resetting itself. Kind of a pain in the ass with all the settings on the unit. I was driving to work today and it just shut off. I turned it on and all the memory was gone. It's happenned about 5 times so far.

Yesterday, while cornering pretty hard, it clicked off, then back on without resetting.

Is anyone else having this problem?

p.s. i'm now going to have a shopping list of things for the dealer when i go in for first service.
1. head unit
2. Allignment, pulls to the left plus new TSB
3. The Clunk (hopefully Newf will have some answers soon)
4. touch up paint

dont buy the touch up paint. In about a month you will recieve a survey from Mazda. If you fill it out , you get free touch up paint!! I made the mistake of buying it, before I got the survey!

I got my survey, and there was no mention of a free bottle of touch up paint...I filled it out anyway. Maybe that is a promotion by region. Any idea?

it takes almost a year, lol. my mom just got her survey for the ES. and she bought it last year, in may.

I've never seen you around Toronto. Looks like i now know of 3 MSP owner's in Toronto. There's dpmmsp (never online anymore), Sunny ( can't remember your login name) and you.
We need have a meet!!

Yeah i notice my car pulls to the left a bit too. Only on highway drives though. In the city, i hardly notice it.

Sorry, but i've never had the problem with my head deck.

I got a survey, but never saw that i wa going to get offered a bottle of touch up paint. Just offered that if i sent in the survey, i'd get a chance to win a '02 Miata.

My cousin's MSP kenwood is doing the same thing. And its a b**** to reprogram everything, specially is you have Sirius and reprogram all the darn stations.

Regarding the paint, the coupon comes from your dealer and not Mazda USA.

This was covered about a month or soo ago (do a search and you will find something...maybe)....a few people experienced problems with their headunit...but no one knows how to fix it (it's not something you should have to fix). Like stated before, take it to your dealer and have them fix it. This is what your warranty is for. Good luck
