MS cai vs SRI

i worked out a deal with the sales guy to throw in a ms cai with my car even after i negotiated the sale price to slightly below invoice.

well, as you all know, the ms cai is not available at the moment with a undetermined release date. they list the intake at $350 at the dealer.

i'm debating on just buying a SRI for the time being and selling the MS cai when i finally get it for 'free'. the SRI is nearly half the price, but will i enjoy it 'as much'.

if you were in my shoes, what would you do?

should i just wait for the 'free' MS cai, or buy a SRI right now.

Get the Cobb SRI or find the a MS CAI used for alot less than $350.

I just switched my MS CAI to the Cobb SRI last night and the difference between them is very minor. Cobb just seems to be a bit louder.

after doing weeks of research and asking around i'm ordering the Cobb SRI 1st week of May and after a few months I will order the AMSOLI dry filter for it cause I dont want to reoil. But I will get the use out of the first filter.

Does anyone know how long you go before re-oiling the Cobb SRI filter?

that's just it - i don't have to pay the $350 for the ms cai, it's free. but i could always get the ms cai, sell it for $300 new, and have $125 left after i bought the SRI.

i figured the ms cai would be a better option as far as warranty goes, as i've read some people have had to remove the SRI to get warranty work done. i don't really want to have to mess back and forth.

p.s. i'm in kansas city. what part of MO are you from?
