You are better off calling BiggTim. He will answer the phone and help you.

well guys we just got done doing a turbo install on my p5 and i bought the MPI and was a little nervous after seeing and hearing all the contraversy. but after install and tuning i love it. i dont know what the others ones are like but all the stuff that i would hear about the MPI that is negative is s***. my car runs great and i just love it. especially after having someone hear like apocman and moeed to help do the tuning. thanks for all the help and great products.

Beau--Which 2 local are having issues? Emilio has car issues, he still does, even with the MPI out. Who is the other, that MSP I did? That could have been my fault because I learned not too long ago how an MSP needed to be tuned. He also had prior issues with the car, but who knows, it's gone now. You can't bring Eli into this because his ran great for the entire summer before he changed something.

Climate does have an affect, but I lived in MD where it got to the high 90's and sometimes in the 100's and then in the winter it got down in the teens and my car drove fine the whole time. I can see altitude changing things, but with xtra injectors you shouldn't use the purple TM wires so it is easier to tune. If Jeph's car didn't run the purple, the drive up there would have been different, much smoother. There are faults with ANY system out there, there is no perfect system. People need to make their own INFORMED decision. I always tell people that if they don't want to tune, go with something else.

We all need to be adults here and let it be. Some people like it some don't, that's how the real world works. I know there are shots back and forth, but it's got to end sometime. People can bash ANY product as much as they want, there is ALWAYS going to be someone else who will still want it.

edit: Oh yeah, I am in no way saying that Jeph's issue was the purple wires, I still don't know about that one.

Sigh... I don;t know what the issue is with my car anymore. I can reset my ecu, it drives fine, but then lately something is putting a load on my engine at idle, causing the vacuum to rise, and it idles like s*** even when the mpi is reading the right voltage, and my af's are great.
What would cause my vacuum to rise like that?

so you till have the mpi in? if the voltage and afr is ok, then u prolly have a vac leak. they are a b**** to find.

Tim,

I know where your heart lies. You don't say anything until I am forced to defend myself. I can count more than 9 post's where shots are taken at me in just THIS thread and it's ok until I have to come in and say something.

Nah dude, you know me, say what you gotta say. I told you before that I will defend the MPI when I see wrong info being posted. I got no problems defending things and I know everyone has a right to.

I was just mearly saying lets all move on and leave the bickering behind us and be larger men, like ME!!!!!;) (I know you can never get bigger you saw'd off little half pint!) (thumb)

I have ask him to check for problems with his car. Even the CEL from having a bad O2 seem to not be a problem for both him and MAM. So you tell me how the hell can you tune any car with any ems if there are problems with it? Some people just do not want to be helped and some people just think they know it all because they have two or three years doing this.

And it continues. Is it really neccessary for the attacks?

Why are you and MAM here on this thread? He cannot tune it right and cannot find problems in cars with it. Where is he and or you helping anyone? My point from the very start was and still is that if you have a problem with your car you cannot tune it right. The more I see being wrong with the car the more I am right. Look you want to kiss ass go right ahead. Just do not be an ass with post's like this.

The Irony of this post.

LOL. For anyone who didn't pick it up. The MSP has been out only 3 years and the whole FS BJ chassis 5. Also, the P5 being 4.

But, Nick has had his shop a lot longer than the msp has been around.

The point of it all was to state no one can have more experience on a certain car longer than its been out. For example, no one can say they had 30 years modding/tuning experience of the 3rd gen FS protege. Why b/c it hasn't been out that long. Yes, Nick has XX amount experience in general of other cars but he came on at around the beginning of 2004 so that statement was irrelevant to his defense.
