MPI Tuner dyno proven@ 400hp

Also, with the lower compression how much longer does it take to get boost?
Not longer at all. We spent a lot of time with working the head and manifold in order to build boost faster then stock.

Here is 4th gear pulls on Dean and Dana. You can see how much faster Deans torque starts to build. Dean is 8.5 to 1, Dana is 9.1 to 1. At the same 15psi you have a 30 lbs feet of torque more by 4,000 rpms. Not sure how fast Rich 505 torque build was on his runs.

Thanks again

Sorry dude, that is wrong.

Like people mentioned, horsepower and torque are related by an equation, where the conversion factor is 5250. It has nothing to do with scales.

I think this point has been beaten to death already, so I won't eloborate.
whatever....

think about it...

check them with your own eyes. HP and TQ will always cross there.

common people, just chill... everyone is just confusing where they VISUALLY cross, with where they ACTUALLY cross.

YES HP is a function of torque, and they will ALWAYS be equal at 5250.... but on the dyno you have the ability to change the scale so they both fit on the same screen.

before you just to conclusions, read EACH AND EVERY GRAPH~!!!!! lookj on the left and the right to look for the scale!!!!!

Yes we did run it. Best ET run was 13.5s@107.2mph. Best MPH run was 13.6s@108.6mph.

Need to hook up better, spin tires in all of 1st gear.

Thanks again

not bad, but with supposedly 300+whp i would expect at least a 112 trap speed =(, although dynos in 4th gear usualy show more power so i duno.

why is there that weird spike in the graph that goes back a bit then comes back forward ?
my guess would be that they either let off, dropping a hundred rpm or so, then getting back on it, or it might of been a hesitation. either way it looks to me that the rpm's went up, dropped back a little, then continued to pull on up to redline.

from the boost spike?
No spike up there. It was all 15psi over 4,000rpm. It is a software problem only. At the dyno the spike is not like that. If you look at the pull the chart shows the rpm dropped back and then went back up. Not going to hapen like that.

Thanks aghain

"Supposedly", no it is the facts. New motor less then 500 miles on it. Shifting at 5,500 rpms and spinning all of 1st and part of second gear. I take 108 mph all day all for now. Be do not worry, we wll be at the track very soon. Before this year is over we will be well into the 12s and around 110 miles.

4th gear is the only way to dyno a car. We made more power in 4th because we are tuned very near where we want to be. Look at Danas runs. He could only dyno clean in 3th gear because he as a new setup that needs more tuning and because of MAF cut. In 4th gear his power falls off because of the tuning and MAF problems. It is not a matter of making more power in 4th, it is being ale to hold more of a load.
