MPI MSP car now running 21psi

So Nick/Dean, do you have any idea what % efficiency this modified 25 is running at, at various rpms?

What FMIC is being used for this? I can't imagine a T25 (if that is what is being used as was indicated a couple posts ago) is super efficient moving that kind of boost... so you'd need to makeup for the heat in the FMIC... I may replace mine at some point as it isn't the best of FMIC's I guess... so I'm curious.

I'm hoping this spring to be up in the 20+ range.

It is a modified T25. It has the GT wheel in it and is ported also. It is supposed to be efficient to 24psi. The FMIC is one of Nick's, similar to mine, but it may be thicker.

what level of efficiency though? Are we talking 75% or 65%? I don't know how the maps stack up, I'm just largely curious as to how well the T25 flows relative to my EVO III Big 16g.

Better ask Nick, he is the only one who can answer that.

since you guys are talking turbos ... whats the stock turbo in an eclipse ? i think its a t25 right ? (16g being the upgrade everybody gets)

i know a guy with a turbo eclipse that raise his boost up to 25psi with his stock turbo but then turned it down cuz it was just too much power. Any idea what the difference would be between his 25 and mine ?

well I just found this:

Which means I should be in good shape... :) 550 cfm :)

The amazing thing is that a brand new EVO III Big 16G like I have can be had for brand new with internal wastegate for 600 bucks.

I am curious if Nick has a flow map or anything for the ported T25 though as that should move a good bit of air in and of itself as well. I'd LOVE to see the dynos for the car when it is totally done finished and perfected (it isn't done/dynoed at the current psi is it? I missed quite a few pages of the thread!)

I dont belivee the flow characteristics have been officially tested, but I can tell you from seeing the thing being ported and modified in person, there was a good amount of material removed and that thing should push a great amount of air. It is yet to be dynoed at these boost levels. The car is going to be a goddamn beast..Nick put some good work into this one..

Yeah the car should be awesome, Nick very much knows what he is doing! I'll be super happy to see it. It'll also be awesome when there are several cars up in that range and it becomes a big shootout amongst who can get the most out of basically the same general setups!

I had also heard not all that long ago that it got a bit F**Ked up... too low of an octane was used... it survived but wasn't quite right or something, but I was assuming from the activity in this thread that it was back up and good or something.

Right, that's what this brotha right here heard too. Maps made for highe octane (race fuel) and 21 PSI, but regular pump gas used instead. It was a recipe for disaster!
