What is normal MPG on the 07 3 hatch? I seem to only get about 19 miles per gallon.
What do you guys do to get better mpg?

Most of the time, I get about 25 with combined Hwy/City (more city than highway) in my '08 hatch. Its a manual.

Bad MPG for me is usually around 22-23 (lots of city driving and or stop and go). I get close to 30mpg on road trips.

Is yours an auto or manual? Auto might be slightly less MPG. However if its a manual and you like to rev the engine high, that will eat up your gas too.

19 is a little low and could be an indicator that something isn't right, or your not driving too well.

Auto.

I usually drive streets, only because i usually only drive to my school and back and i cant use the freeway to get there. I bought the car with 44k on it so idk whats in the car expect a k and n filter.

So you kept track of how many miles you went from full to low fuel light correct? Then filled up?

If so, your telling me you only got 209 miles on a full tank?

That a poor way to calculate. Do this:

Fill up the tank full.
Reset the Trip A or B
When you get gas again, fill up 100% full. Make a note of the amount that fills up and use that volume of gas with millage on Trip A/B.
Reset Trip A/B and start again.

A full fill-up from me is between 10-12 gallons, depending how low I let it get.

See below for me car's usual MPG:

08 mz3 hatch 42k miles with auto. Mostly city driving a lot of stop and go.. if i'm not crazy i'm getting 18-19 mpg if i rev a lot and let it go around 4000 rpm every start i'm getting around 13 mpg so a lot depends how you're driving.. highway is around 32 mpg.. ( always fill to top of tank and refill when around quarter left. 10-11 gal. each fill up)

I get about 230 miles if i fill up at a little less then a quarter of a tank

Your calculation wasn't quite the way it was suggested. You wouldn't divide by how many gallons the tank is "supposed" to be, but by how many gallons you had to put in to fill it again. So if you fill the tank and restart your trip then see how much you had to put in at your next fill up you'll see exactly how many gallons you used assuming you filled it to the top at your previous pit stop. Either way it does seem a little low. would check to see the last oil change and if the air filter is crudded up. Two of the easier things to check first.
