mp3 vs. civic ex

Today i went to pick up a hose kit that i ordered from a local auto shop. While i was there two guys were sittin in a civic ex apparently they just got out of the auto store. Anyway it had a huge exhaust pipe and the *** made sure that i knew it. So I pulled out and wouldn't u know it we caught a red light immediately. As soon as the light changed i dumped the clutch and jumped about 2 cars ahead of him. I chirped second and took it to about 7 grand in the first four gears. He pulled up next to me at the next light which was about 4 miles down the road and said nice car. I felt good but even if he beat me i wouldn't have cared i'm happy with the car. No matter how fast you make ur cars there is always someone faster.

good job...although i wouldnt go past redline if i were you...unless you have that kinda cash to dump on a blown engine. i still havent gotten it to chirp in 2nd or 3rd.......dunno if the weather is allowing for more grip in the tires or what

Hey good job on smoking that civic but i accidently took it past redline at 6700 Rpms and when i did i heard something click and couple days later my dad took the MP3 to work when he was on his way home he said the mirrors wouldn't adjust it didn't work at all. So he called selmaautomall and told them that the mirrors worn't working and he told me that when they got done fixing it the next day a wire came loose. And if you look on the specifications on the MP3 it says 6500 rpm redline : fuel cuttoff wire engagement or something but yeah i don't take it past 6400rpms no more.

They only way I have gotten my tires to chirp is by "Power Shifting". Meaning shifting without letting off the gas or atleast not letting off much. You still use the clutch but just keep the rpm's kinda high. Although this is not good for the tranny, that is how you can chirp your tires in second. I havn't been able to chirp'em in third.

i took mine over 7000rpm and the cat didnt make anything at all... in a race vs a civic ex me too.. looks like alll those fags got those big damn pipe..and the ricey spoiler that came with it..hehe

yeah that's what i'm sayin guys when the revs got that high it was because i was power shifting once in awhile is ok.

I wish I had some competition for my focus!

I beat my buddies MP3 about a month ago, but now, for some reason, I gained 25hp at the wheels, we raced again tonight for fun, I let him go a head, and I caught up quick, Maybe it has something to do with the new mods, I dunno! hahaha

If there are some more Toronto based folks, you will all have to come to Cayuga or St-Thomas next summer!!

Wow, that was mature. I was mearly stating that my Focus at 140 WHP and 141.7 ft-lbs of torque at the WHEELS, and I have a Dyno chart to prove it, can beat my buddies MP3.
