thanks. anyone else?

I bought my car with 50,000 km, which would be about 30K miles I think. They replaced the front tires that were on it but not the back. They still seem not too bad. Likely need to be replaced next year.

So now I have Kuhmos on the front and Dunlops on the back.

i also have a few questions on the stock dunlops...

on my front passengers tire, it seems as if the tread is SEPERATING!!! the inner side, has almost a "flap" of tread hanging there.

i will take pics when i get off work, and yank it off the car.

i know i almost have 20k miles, but damn, to be seperating?

I think my ES has the same tires, only in a 16" instead of a 17".

That being said - I've got 21,700(around there) miles on the car currently. I rotated the tires at 12,000, and I plan to do them again when I hit 24k. I'm hoping to get at least 36K out of them.

see, that is my problem, i cant rotate them right now, as the front one is seperating.

i rotated them every 5000 miles, to keep even wear on them, and now that s*** is pulling apart. BOOOOOOO DUNLOP!

you guys think i should shoot them an email with the pics i take later on, and see if they give a flying ****?

On my '01 ES I got about 30K off the stock Dunlop SP5000's. That was with normal driving with minimal burnouts and gear chirping.

I think i got round 25-27, Since I switch tires in the winter that's my best guess. but I did rotate a lot and ran about 4 auto X's in them and when I changed them they were pretty damn low on tread. like If it was raining out I coudn't go above 45 mph cause I would hydroplane.

I've got about 20,000 miles on mine. Tread looks good for another 3,000-4,000 miles or so (just want them to last through October) according to the penny test :).

i got 25,000 b4 i needed new ones but thats with my snow tires. So i figure around 18,000 for mine, and i drive pretty hard.

I got dunlop to split the cost of my 2nd set of tires, because of some wierd wear (I think it is allignment related:confused: ) but the mngr at my local dunlop dealer did the talking and just said i was a very unhappy customer. ended up costing 95$ per tire instead of 190$ I cant complain, although my next set probally wont be dunlops.

I have 24k on mine and just ordered my yoko's this afternoon:D \
But I am the 2nd owner, I'm not sure how hard the other owner drove them, but I have had them for most of their life...

I got 23 thou out of mine. I liked them. But I went with TOYO proxies T1-plus in a 215-45-17. I think i'll get 25-30 thou out of them.

i got 3,000 miles on my front dunlops, total slicks, wore them down untill the metal threads started sticking out and then took em out. i had such an advantage with them, off the line i would eat other cars with normal tires.. you couldnt even see the tread design on the tires it was below it..
