2003 Black Mica MSP #566
I have a 2001 MP3 and i was told that the MP3's have weak shift forks and they flex causing pretty much every shifter problem i've ever had and that the problem could be fixed by replacing the MP3 shift forks with MSP shift forks.......

1. is this correct?
2. anybody got a spare set of msp shift forks laying around?
3. Mazda's part department had two sets of MSP shift forks labelled MPS 1 and MPS 2 which one do i need if i get forced into buying from them?
4. possibly aftermarket shift forks?

any help is appreciated.

The only "fork" that is different in the MSP is the clutch release fork.

The rest are the same...As far as I have heard.

What problems are you having?

yes, this is true according to other members, do a search for shift fork and you will come up with some info on it
