Anything I need to do special? I am going to remove the VTCS form the intake (unhook it first and try that until spring break). Are there any things I have to do not to get a CEL (o2 sensors already take care of)?

Does this ECU require premium fuel?

Yea, I hope it helps drivability and revability. I am sure the power gains will be very minimal, but hopefully the "FEEL" will be better. Know what I mean?

Alos, I can completely remove that stupid a** VTCS!

i see 3 ECU's on there that say MP3 next to them but they each have a different number next to them, whats the difference?

They are factory revisions and factory warranty replacements. As long as all of the digits leading up to that last letter (or lack there of) are the same, then you are okay.

so like u said the numbers can be all the same just the letters are of no importance? and also as long as it says MP3 next to it i should be fine and can go ahead and order it? sorry if im asking alot of questions i just like to be sure about what im doing. thanx.

Muaha. You'll like the MP3 ECU. But for the first 500 miles, 'train' it to run hard, and fill it up with 93 octane, and a little octane booster... It helps quite a bit. =) I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I have an intake manifold that I can remove the VTCS from and port out for you, if you'd like? It was originally going to be sold to someone else, but he never replied, so... If you want, I'll offer it to you. =) That way you can keep your stock manifold, in case you ever need it.

PM me about the intake manifold

BTW, I definitely will break it in good. I believe in getting the most out of my vehicles...

I just picked one of the MP3 ECU from Car-Parts.com too. Should recieve it either Friday or monday. Looking forward to the little upgrade.

Also I need to rework the intake mani I bought last fall......gotta buy the Dremel spend a weekend removing the VTCS and porting it.

Hey, the ECU only cost me $195....and currently I run 90 octane is my car....so I make a little boost from there.

Only live once and cannot take the money with yeah!

hardly worth the cost of the ECU, and premium fuel for the 2hp extra ;)
just my opinion ;)
That's what i was thinking after some debating. The ~$200 isn't worth it, but if someone were to trade ECU's that's another story.

If you want to put an end to this someone with a mp3 and someone with a p5 get in contact with me. We'll bring them to work and see the differences in timing and fuel maps etc.
