mp3 dual intake

PS!
Potential Scammer!
me and my friend were bored on day and had an idea to make a dual intake..
we had some piping from a intake off my 01' civic.. went to home depot got a spiltter and connected evrything with hose clamps... we got a cai filter down in the cai area and a warm air intake up where a shortram filter would be,,,

wat i have noticed is that i get alot more high end power.. but the low end seems to lag,,, if i floor the gas it lags a bit then all of a suddenthe rpm flys and the tires actaulyl spin a little bit... just thougt u all might want to kno :)

Cool, you should set it up like a toggle as well. On the really rainy days, toggle off the CAI for safety. :) Otherwise keep the warm shut.

I'm curious though, obviously it would require more force to suck in air via the CAI because of the longer piping. So, wouldn't the air tend to be sucked more via the SRI instead of the CAI?

I actually saw some thing of the sort, It made it look like you got a twin turbo. I read it in some ricer magizine

well now we are goin to work on just a ram air system by taking out the plate behind the fog and putting a cai filter there sothe air is rammed in

Humm... Just be careful you're not ramming too much stuff that down low or else you're gonna ram some water into the CAI.

Although, with the double intake system you wouldn't even need to switch the intake during wet times since even if you got water in the CAI intake it probably wouldn't have enough vaccum to suck up the water and the RAM would take over anyway. Cool!

But yes, pics, pics!!

ok no pictures yet, we drilled a hole behind the foglight sheet metal and drilled 4 hols to bolt on the ram air extention tube. Picked up a Ractive Ram Air Extention It is made to fit the ractive filters specifically designed for ram air \ cold air. We then fit the filter inside the extention and connected the other end of the filter to the cai tubing.
