The wife is getting her master's at Penn State, and the Air Force is paying for it, so we're moving there for 18mos, then on to Ohio. What's going on in the area? I'm coming from South Jersey, so not too big of a move.

Is there a huge hassle with inspections? I have a turbo kit and the emissions info doesn't send over the OBD plug since I hijacked a lot of the wiring for the Haltech.

hey! what part of south jersey you was located at?

lumberton (it's in my avatar ;) ), just south of mt holly

There are no emmisions inspections in rural parts of PA,at least there didn't use to be, but you will still have to pass state. I lived at PSU for 2.5 yrs and I don't think things have changed. www.penndot.com Check out Penn Dot's site, I'm sure if you send them and email you'll hear something back, it might take a month or so

oh ok. I have family in Bordentown.

I'm not 100% positive .. but I THINK Centre county is starting to implement emissions.

I just moved out of State College a year ago. You'll love it up there .. That is, if you want to drink your face off and be able to walk home at the end of the night while stuffing a whole pizza in your face, LOL.

Thanks, I checked it out, and it's weird. It's completely by county. I've never seen that before (in 4 different states). State College doesn't seem to be covered by any of those counties requiring emission checks. However, the safety check has a "visual inspection" for removal of "required emission" components... i guess I'll just have to take a look.
