Mounting switch on the foglight switch location

Do you guys know how to take out those plastic rectangles that are next to the foglight switch? I tried with a screw driver but they didn't move much and I didn't want to force it and end up breaking them.

thanks

Believe me, I tried, it's impossible bacause the steering column is in the way, but I asume there's an easy way to do it because the guys who installed the alarm placed a LED there and I doubt that they took apart the dash just to do that.

I removed the lil coin holder next to the fog light switch, i just used a small flathead screwdriver n pryed it out. Nothin broke at all. The only thing that is holding it in is a small plasitc clip. Its not hard to do at all. I mounted a small switch for my underbody neons in that spot.

On my car, I went in from underneath. You have to squeeze the top and bottom of the blank becuase there are 'teeth' things. I hope this makes sense.

open your door and there is a panel on the side of the dash that comes off pretty easily. reach in from there. cake.

The way Brad said is the proper way to do it. The panel on the side is flat so it comes off easy then just look inside and you'll be able to see all the switches.

Thanx brad, that was the best way indeed, I had to force the panel a litle but it came off, it has 3 fastener/clip thingies btw for those of you who want to do the same.

However, I was expecting a plain piece of plastic but this covers have a bunch of plastic stuff behind them, probably to attach the wire harness if you want to isntall another switch. It will make what I wanted to do a litle harde because Ill have to work around the wire harness assembly thing but I think Ill manage.

Thanks again Brad (rockon).

You can seperate the front part of the cover and the back part (with all the junk plastic)...the cover will still clip into position, even without the rest of the plastic...there are 4 teeth things on the back plastic which clip into 4 holes on the front, just use a screwdriver and some patience, and you'll be able to seperate the two and make it easier to put wires through there...I have a switch for my DRL's in the blank, and an LED in the little change holder thing.

Hopefully that helps...

Yeah, I figured that out but I still don't have enough room for what I wanted to do, I think Ill just make a hole hidden iside the "pocket" below the covers, I think it will turn out better because it will be completly hidden and also, if I screw up it wont matter that much.
