a blackberry, but its not like a blackberry (thumbwheel) but its a read only pda, you cant edit and what not, and its also not a touchscreen.

I'm new to the board but happen to work for verizon wireless data services so i talk about pda phones all day long... I think im qualified to answer your question. The Q is perfect for someone looking for an entry level windows smart phone. I personally prefer a BB however. Also data packages can be pricy! Make sure you can afford up to another 44.99 a month for data!
