hey guys,
well im really thinking about getting a bike here pretty soon. Ive had my permit for a while and my class in is november to get the license. Been driving my buddys 01 honda cbr600f4i and i ******* love it, riding a bike is unbelievable. So anyways hes wanting to sell his cuz hes board and wants to get a faster bike so i can get a good deal.

To make a long story short wondering if there are any other fellow motorcycle enthusiasts on the board, as i do not know much about them but would like to learn and have learned a lot so far, so let me know

A CBR is a great bike to start on. plenty of parts available for whenyou crash.

nice nice guys, keep em coming, yea this bike was his first hes never laid it down or anything. ive been driving it for a week and laid it down lol. i was only going like 5 mph but i hit a nice gravel patch pulling into a driveway and laid it on its side, but the frame slider did a good job only a lil scratch on the front, and he has the fearings (sp) off since im riding it lol so thats a good thing.

what kinda bike is that force, looks nice.

heres pics we took yesterday....i had to work and he has is fearings (SP?) off but thats the bike, i like it cuz its all black, and he put a bigger sproket on it so its a lil quicker plus exhuast and its been lowered an inch

The F4i is a great bike, not only to start on, but you could defintately keep it for a while before "needing" to upgrade.

In 1992, I started on an Kawi EX500, then in 1999 upgraded to a VFR750, then in 2002 to a Goldwing GL1500. I've riden a friend's F3 before and really liked it.

IMO, don't spend all your cash on the bike then cheap out on the gear. If you can, set aside the money for a good helmet, jacket, and gloves at the bare minimum. Also, if you haven't done so, take a MSF course (again, IMO).

yea i have been signed up for the msf course for a couple months, since im millitary its free and also mandatory but with the gas prices they said they have been filling up very quickly.

and yes im only spending 3500 on the bike, and i will have some money left over, im thinking about buy his helmet that he has, its not pictured but its carbon fiber, retail around 800 but he got it for like 300 cuz they didnt sell good in us, i guess they sell good in egland or somthing. well its too big for him so im going to get it, and definatly get some nice gloves, as for a jacket i havent looked into them much but need to start soon i guess

i forgot to ask does anyone know of any good motorcycle forums. not so much about like spec's or performance kinda thing but about i guess driving, good driving, informative stuff i suppose to make me a better driver

I started on a '88 Hurricane 600, then moved up to a '94 900RR...huge difference

I decided to sell them since I was partying alot and I didnt feel I was responsible enough not to drink and ride.

I dropped the Hurricane once pulling in a driveway at about 5mph(hit loose gravel as well) and still have the scars on my side and hand to prove it. Of course I had been drinking and i was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and no gloves..stupid me

A friend of mine has a '90 Ninja ZX10 for sale...8k original miles, wants $1500 for it so I may buy it in the spring
