I'm looking for the AMZOIL guys to recommend what weight oil to use in the MSP What type of transmission fluid to use. I am currently using Amzoil in my truck. Is changing the transmission fluid a do-it-yourself job?
Thanks.

Use redline MT-90 tranny fluid. Some members are also using GM synchromesh with good results. Anything is better than the stock fluid. I use Amsoil 10W-40 high performance synthetic with my MSP. I also only drive it in the summer in good weather. If you are going all season you can't go wrong going with the manual recommended 10W-30 (or 5W-30 for colder weather) synthetic from Amsoil. Do a search, there is an Amsoil dealer on these forums and plenty of threads on people running different oils.

Ive been using th 0w30 weight severe duty oil since 6k and i have 23k now its changed at 6k interv. and its been great, oh you have to use the amsoil filter to be able to stretch the oil change that far. It has a far better filteration than a oe or aftermarket filter

I just ordered the K&N HP1008 oil filter. Doing a X-ref supposedly it's compatible with our cars. We'll see.
