Motor Mounts?

Are there stiffer motor mounts available for this car? Solid Mounts? Inserts?

I don't like all the slop from the engine shifting when on and off the gas. I replaced them in my SE-R a few years ago with ES ones and made a huge difference.

TIA,
Brian

dude, search.... there's a million threads on these, this is not some obscure topic

AWR motor mounts. The "manual" transmission ones are harder than the "automatic" tranny ones. They are the same physically, but just different hardness. They will increase the vibration in the cabin, but probably worth it.

The one near the firewall is a PITA apparently. The front should be a 5 minute job. Most people just get the front and it handles most of the problems and the wheel hop.

sounds like exactly how much a PITA they were on the SE-R when i did them

i also had to bump idle to about 900 or so to reduce vibration

i have the front in, and it helped a lot if you just wanted to do that...i have the rear, but havnt gotten around to putting it in...its a PITA

Siliconing the front one helps a little. There is a thread on it in "How to" it's really easy. It didn't eliminate it but it deifnately helps and is worth the $4 it costs to buy silicone.

wow.. there are some seriously ricetastic people buying neon.... i'll have to see about the AWR stuff.. thanks!

Luminics are head light and fog light bulbs, not neon.

I had the MT front and rear mounts in my MP3. As everyone's said already, the front one is a 5-10 minute job. I moved it to the MSP when I got it.

I spent many, many, many hours trying to put in the back one myself and finally paid a mechanic to do it. He charged me about $80 but he also had to spend 3+ hours on it. It stayed on the MP3 when I traded it. It increased cabin vibration way too much for a daily driver and I have no intention of doing that to the MSP.
