Motor Mounts??!!!

hey anybody know where I can get some solid aftermarket motor mounts for my protege 1.6L LX. apparently one of my side mounts and the one underneath the engine are broken...

Pull 'em off, and fill them with either 2-part polyurethane or window weld, perhaps? =) I'm not sure if any are shared between the ZM and the FS, though, and AWR only makes 'em for thte FS, as far as I know.

AWR has them for the 1.6, they're great.

Where does AWR sell them for the 1.6L? I went to **********.com and they had em but the description is "for a 99-03 protege" and the guy didn't sound too confident in his answer when I called and asked on the phone

Yes you can...just put tape over one side and fill them up with some poly roof flashing if you can't find window weld

can someone give me a complete howto on filling the mounts with window weld!? I have no idea how to do this. but I am definitely a poor boy and this sounds much cheaper than paying $175 for front and rear mounts

It's pretty easy... Pull it off, and clean the mounts out really well. Get some Window Weld, and make sure the mounting hole is properly-ish positioned. Once you get it, fill in around it with the window weld as completely that you can, making sure to try and leave no air. Let it sit and cure for a day, then put it back in. Wait another day, and you should be good to drive on it.

Should stiffen things up nicely.
