Most Cheap POS cars today work with Bluetooth and have USB Media Ports and work GREAT

It really isn't a POS just because it doesn't interface with all smart phones and ipods. http://infotainment.mazdahandsfree.com tells you which devices work.
It sucks that not all devices work. I too am frustrated by this so I have two options. BT my phone with the HU or use an AUX cord and use my ipod to play my tunes. I don't like it and I specifically bought the card with the entertainment system because I like using my ipod.

Even though I can bluetooth my music from my iPhone 6, I always plug it in if I will be driving for an hour or more. I like the fact that I am charging the phone at the same time. Also issues like receiving emails and text through an iPhone are not entirely Mazda's fault. As an example on my other car emails will only come in if you remember close the mail app everytime you get in the car. My brother has a 2015 CX5 Grand Touring and with an android phone and he receives emails and text without any issues.

I do agree with the OP that spending 30k on a car you expect flawless bluetooth operations, but keep in mind if it wasn't for Ford Mazda would have not survived, and despite dissatisfaction with their infotainment systems they are continuously updating their products on an accelerated time line. Sucks for those that have already spent their hard earned money, but even the latest and greatest is obsolete every 6 months. I bought my BMW in March of 2011 (December 2010 build) after having it a month I found out that March 2011 and forward builds would have BMW apps on the iDrive screen (hardware change) so I just missed it! Now they and other makes have Siri work right from the steering wheel.

In addition my son just bought a new 2015 Mazda 3 with the updated infotainment system and it works sweet with his Galaxy S4.
