Moon roof added at dealer?

Have been talking to dealers and getting some prices, they have mentioned that if we don't want the Bose and just a moonroof it can be added at the dealer for a much cheaper price than the whole package.

Has anyone done this?

So, what do you want to add? Moon Roof or Bose?
For what I believe, it's impossible to add Moonroof.
It has to be done at time of assembly.

Mazda moonroof is designed to allow leaking (sounds funny, I know).
When dealer said they can install one for you, did they mean a "factory one"?

Some aftermarket moonroofs are prone to leakage after a few years.
Ask the dealer for details.

Not true. There are after-market moonroof outfits. Had one installed in a cadillac seville a few years back. Never had leakage problems with it.

That is why I said "some".
My friend who did this on his Accord long ago when it was new.
It developed a leak after 3 years. It depends on the worksmanship.
