modifications for 3 hatch

well it's summertime and i'm planning on doing some modifications to the 3. i need to start off with a stage 1 clutch for sure, and i was also going to throw in a nice light flywheel. does anybody have any recommendations for a good clutch and flywheel? i have the 2.3 and i have done nothing to it yet, but plan on getting as many horses out of the engine as i can without a turbo. by summer's end i'd like to get clutch, flywheel, cold air, headers, full exhaust, high flow cat, re-tune, and strut bars for some stiffness. i will later do forged internals and what not. what else can i do to get more horses other than adding a turbo, and how much do you think i can come out with in the end? what are you n/a guys running and what have y'all done?

i would start with the easier bolt on mods. cai/catback/lowering springs/RSB/short throw shifter if you have a manual/wheels/tires etc take it slow and easy modding an n/a fwd 4cyl is a slow and purely one sided relationship... trust me.

i already have a 2 inch drop on it. i am going to do cold air intake then full exhaust, but that will be in a bit. wheels and tires are coming up as well. i need a new clutch as mine is pretty much shot so i figured i'd get the stage one with a flywheel while i'm at that. i'm not planning, and don't have the money to take this fast so that won't be a problem.

i want to make it a quick street daily. i drove a '92 gmc typhoon before this so i'm used to having a quick ride. i just want this to be a nice, fast street car.

I would recommend Exedy stage 1 clutch and flywheel. After that then get your basic bold ons I/H/E. If you want to take it a lil further check out CP-E Standback once they release it. You will be able to tune AFR & adjust timing.

I was just looking through some old posts and found yours. I am curious as to what you have done to your car and what you think of the mods.

Well he hasnt posted since last year, hasnt logged in since march. Im guessing he made a speaker box, painted his wheels gray, and may have done some light suspension work (if it wasnt for his jimmy instead) based on his photobucket account. Looks like he enjoys hitting people with paint balls. Most folks ask and want to do mods before reality sets in ;-)
